Emmerdale actress Isabel Hodgins has been inundated with support from fans after sharing a post online
Emmerdale’s Isabel Hodgins has been showered with well-wishes following her marriage announcement with her new husband.
The actress became a household name when she joined the ITV soap in 2006, playing the role of Victoria Sugden. Since then, her character has been at the centre of numerous major storylines.
However, it’s not just on-screen drama for Isabel. In August, she revealed that she and her new husband Adam Whitehead are expecting their first child together, just a few months after they said their vows.
Isabel and Adam married in a dreamy ceremony at Castlefield Rooms in Manchester city centre in April. And their love story continues to blossom, with Isabel announcing her pregnancy news in August.
On Instagram, the soap star posted a picture of herself and Adam holding the baby scan, captioning it: “First comes love, Then comes marriage, Then comes… Baby Whitehead.”, reports the Daily Star.
This week, Isabel has had fans rallying around her as she celebrated a wedding milestone during a romantic getaway with her husband. She shared a series of adorable photos from their trip to Carden Park in Cheshire on her Instagram.
Isabel captioned the post: “Celebrating 6 months married and being 24 weeks pregnant The dreamiest little pre-baby getaway @cardenpark.”
She added: “Lovely pamper with a pregnancy massage and facial followed by a delicious afternoon tea Feeling so relaxed and grateful for such a special stay.”
Isabel’s fans and Emmerdale colleagues were quick to shower the post with compliments. Danny Miller, who plays Aaron Dingle, commented: “Very cute.”
A fan wrote: “A lovely couple and soon a lovely family.” Another follower added: “Glad all going well for you, can’t believe it’s been 6 months already. Sounds like you’ve had a brilliant time to relax. Can’t wait for you to be a family of 3, bless you.”
This follows Isabel hinting at taking a temporary break from Emmerdale to focus on motherhood. Discussing this decision, the ITV actress told The Mirror in August: “I will miss it. I love the people there, but I’ve worked there for 19 years, so I feel like I’ve done what I’ve wanted to do and been selfish with my career.
Isabel continued: “Now, it’s time to devote my life to being a mum, that feels right to me. But there’s still FaceTime, so they won’t forget me!”
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
