Easily one of our most important exports, the TV industry in NI has become recognised around the world as one of the best there is.

With a host of new shows, returning series and interesting documentaries made and filmed locally coming to our screens over the next few months, we wanted to know what NI-made TV shows have made the most impact on our readers.
We asked our Belfast Live readers to vote for their favourite show made in Northern Ireland from eight of the most popular and influential series made here to see what has readers binging every episode.
In the end, only one spot could be crowned the winner in our poll.
BBC NI’s Blue Lights has been named the Favourite Northern Irish TV series in our Belfast Live poll.
The gritty police drama follows the life of PSNI officers working and living in Belfast and is filmed in the heart of the city – with the highly anticipated third series set to come to our screens this Autumn, it is clear that our readers have forgiven creators Adam Patterson and Declan Lawn for the death of Gerry.
