A family who ditched the UK for a life in Spain have praised the change it has made for them, with Paige Agius sharing how huge a change it has made to the household’s quality of life
A family who abandoned the UK for Spain say their children couldn’t be more delighted with the enhanced quality of life. Paige Agius and her household gathered their possessions and relocated to Europe. The family made the move seeking a “better life” and to provide their two youngsters with the “finest possible upbringing we can”.
Additional members of the public are taking similar steps, with numerous individuals sharing their intentions to depart their homeland, choosing instead sunny weather and superior prospects overseas in Spain. A TikTok post has seen Paige showcase the fresh lifestyle, illustrating the family gathering their belongings and departing for Europe.
She has subsequently detailed why the household relocated to Spain, asserting there are superior opportunities overseas compared to those available in the UK.
Paige wrote: “One whole month of our new life in Spain. Making the move was so far worth it.
“We sold our house in the UK and moved to Spain for a better life in the sun. We now live in a lovely three bed on an urb in Alicante with a pool just three doors up!”
An urb is abbreviated for urbanizaciones, a district which consists mainly of residential properties rather than commercial development.
Paige, whose two youngsters will begin school in September, states the summer was dedicated to “integrating and making memories” in their fresh residence.
Numerous members of the public have commended Paige for taking the plunge, with the aspirational escape something Britons are choosing to pursue increasingly frequently.
One individual shared: “I moved to Spain two years ago and it was the best decision I ever made, and I’m only 23. I do miss home but I feel a lot more happier here than I did back in Leicester.”
Another added: “I live in Alicante, and it’s a magnificent city. You have as much right as anyone to live and enjoy the city of light. May you be very happy here!”
A third recounted their time living abroad, although they eventually chose to return to the UK. They penned: “I lived in Tenerife for nine years, my little girl was born there. Back in the UK now but was the best time abroad. I loved living abroad.”
Paige later elaborated on her reasons for relocating to Spain, attributing her family’s dream becoming a reality to “hard work and determination”.
She revealed: “My parents moved to Spain nearly 10 years ago. For a few years me and my partner would come out and visit them. Then we had a baby and we brought him to Spain often.
“Seeing them happy, enjoying life and all that Spain brings for children who love the outdoors we decided we wanted that life for them. And not the upbringing we thought they’d have in the UK.”
