Northern Ireland kick off their 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign against Luxembourg tonight, kick-off 7.45pm
Northern Ireland’s 2026 World Cup qualifying journey begins tonight as they take on Luxembourg in the opening game of Group A.
It hasn’t been the easiest build up to the qualifiers for boss Michael O’Neill as he is without a number of key personnel including Pierce Charles, Dan Ballard and Brodie Spencer.
O’Neill though will be hoping to get off to a good start to the campaign ahead of Sunday’s trip to Germany.
Tonight they face a Luxembourg team who have a new manager in charge in the shape of Jeff Strasser, who took over last month when he replaced Luc Holtz, who had been in charge of the national side since 2010.
