“It’s a beautiful journey and everyone should read this book”
Friends stars Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox have shared support for Gary Lightbody and his new book.
Earlier this year, the Snow Patrol frontman released his first book ‘The Forest is the Path’, written as a companion to the band’s album of the same name.
A description reads: “The book explores some of the main themes of the album: time, home, love, death, life.

“It is also a prequel to the record which tells the story of [Gary’s] dad, Jack’s death and the numb journey it sent him on, the end of which seemed to unlock a part of him that had been dormant until he started to write songs again.”
Taking to Instagram stories on Tuesday, both actresses shared their admiration for the Co Down musician and encouraged their fans to pick up a copy of ‘The Forest is the Path’.
Courteney said: “So our friend Gary Lightbody wrote a book. You know him as the lead singer of Snow Patrol and he writes the most beautiful lyrics.”
Jennifer added: “The most beautiful voice, the most beautiful lyrics – incredible. He’s a beautiful writer”
Courteney has been in a relationship with Gary’s fellow Snow Patrol member since 2013 and has shared her friendship with Lightbody online over the years.
Courteney continued: “You should read his book – it is heartbreaking, it’ll make you cry, it’ll make you smile. It’s a beautiful journey and everyone should read this book.”
“Congratulations Gary. We love you,” Aniston added.
In a response to their video, Gary thanked the Hollywood stars for sharing his book to their millions of followers.
He said: “Ah Court and Jen, thank you both so much for your kind words about the book!
“I’m so massively grateful for your support! Lots of love”.
