A man in his 20s was arrested
Police are appealing for information following a report of an assault in the Boucher Road area.
It has been reported that the alleged incident took place last night, Thursday August 28, close to Shane Retail Park of South Belfast.
Detective Sergeant Kitchen said : “Shortly after 11pm, it was reported to police that a man in his 40s was struck by another male. He was taken to hospital for his injuries.
“A man in his 20s was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent. He remains in police custody at this time.
“Officers investigating the incident would ask anyone with any information or footage which could assist with them with their enquiries to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 1939 28/08/25.
