He will appear before Newtownards Magistrates’ Court on Friday
A man has been charged with the murder of Sean Small in Newcastle.
Police were called to the Slievenabrock Avenue area of the Co Down town at around on Sunday, August 24, following reports that a man had been found dead.
A murder investigation was later launched and the man was named as 84-year-old Sean Small, who had recently been released from prison after serving a sentence for sexual offences.

A 41-year-old man has been charged with his murder and is set to appear in court on Friday.
A PSNI spokesperson said: “Detectives from the Police Service of Northern Ireland’s Major Investigation Team, investigating the murder of Sean Small (84) in Newcastle, have charged a man with his murder.
“The 41-year-old man is due to appear before Newtownards Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, Friday, 29th August.
“As is usual procedure, the charge will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
