Exclusive look inside NI’s first Lego store

Northern Ireland is getting their very first Lego store and we went in for a sneak peek

The very first Lego store in Northern Ireland is set to open in Victoria Square Belfast. We headed into the shop for a sneak peek ahead of opening day.

Customers heading down across opening weekend can get their hands on free-with purchase gifts that are exclusive to the Belfast store. The gifts include a ‘Lego Store Ribbon Cutting set’ which will come with any purchase of £135 or more between August 28-31 while stocks last.

Other collectables include the ‘Lego Creator 3-in-1 Red Plane’ which will come with any purchase of £35 or more on opening weekend. You can also get your hands on a ‘Lego Store set’ with purchases above £120 between September 18-21.

The store will officially open to the public at 9am on August 28. Customers will be able to stamp their Lego passports with a Belfast stamp and be treated to the sight of the huge Titanic lego model in the window.

While in the store customers can put their creativity to the test with dedicated areas to build. You can also create your own minifigure to look like yourself or your favourite character out there while you’re in the store.

If there is something you have always wanted to build but there isn’t a set for it yet, the ‘Pick & Build’ section is perfect. You can select any bricks you would like, box them up and bring them home to create your own Lego masterpiece.

With thousands of sets available in the store like Harry Potter, Formula 1 and Star Wars there’s really something in there for everyone.

Shweta Munshi, Vice President of Marketing LEGO Retail, said about the new store opening in Belfast: “We are very excited to bring the store and the space to Belfast. We are looking forward to seeing the smiling faces in the store. We want the space to be place that people come in over and over again.”

While speaking to Belfast Live she promised that “they will keep creating exciting events and activities for the Belfast store”. So Lego fans can look forward to further dedicated events in store.
