Coronation Street’s Carl Webster could have another secret romance on the cobbles

Coronation Street fans believe they’ve rumbled Carl Webster’s second affair, and it’s not with Tracy Barlow.

Soap watchers will know that Carl (Jonathan Howard) has been having a secret romance with Abi (Sally Carman), who is married to his older brother, Kevin (Michael Le Vell).

Last week, as Kevin got ready to whisk his family off on holiday to Mallorca, Abi lied about misplacing her passport so she could snatch some private time with Carl.

However, their secret rendezvous was quickly interrupted when Tracy (Kate Ford) spotted the duo kissing through the kitchen door.

When Tracy threatened to tell Kevin about the affair, Carl was compelled to negotiate by asking what she demanded in exchange for keeping quiet, reports Leicestershire Live.

“Well, I’m going through a divorce at the moment and they don’t come cheap,” Tracy said.

When a frustrated Abi noted that they were meant to be friends, Tracy added, “When it suits you. All the while, I was trying to get off with him, and you were sleeping with him. You must have been laughing at me.”

Tracy subsequently declared that £10,000 would be an appropriate fee for her silence, with Carl announcing his plan to raise the money by stealing motors from the garage.

Now, numerous Corrie enthusiasts reckon that Carl might be conducting another affair with an unlikely Weatherfield local.

After Carl recently exchanged numbers with personal trainer James Bailey (Jason Callender), soap devotees are convinced that the duo could be enjoying a clandestine romance behind Abi’s back.

One individual posted on Reddit: “I think Carl is having a second affair with James. They had that scene last week when they exchanged numbers for personal training, and James keeps talking about having a new boyfriend. It wouldn’t surprise me if it shows that they are hooking up as well.”

Another chimed in: “Ooo, this is possible,” while a third commented: “What a great twist.”

A fourth fan echoed the sentiment, stating, “This would be wild. I also think Abi might be pregnant too.”
