Coronation Street has teased fans with a thrilling glimpse of the drama set to unfold in Weatherfield this September. It appears that things are about to take a dark turn for Todd and Theo, as their storyline’s future has been confirmed.
As autumn draws near and evenings become shorter, there’s plenty of action on the cobbles to keep viewers gripped, as shown in a new trailer from the ITV soap.
Theo Silverton has been causing a stir among Corrie fans, with his increasingly hostile behaviour towards Todd Grimshaw becoming more evident as the weeks pass.
It’s been some time since the undertaker and builder crossed paths on the cobbles, with an immediate spark igniting between them.

However, it later transpired that Theo was concealing a secret family – a wife named Danielle and two children. Struggling with his family’s religious expectations, he admitted to undergoing conversion therapy, reports Leicestershire Live.
More recently, Theo and Todd have been contending with the interference of Millie Silverton, Theo’s teenage daughter, who is determined to pull her father away from Todd.
And then there’s the ominous presence of Noah Hedley, the man behind Theo’s conversion therapy. It’s now been confirmed that Todd’s romantic life is set to take a sinister twist as Theo’s anger escalates into physical violence.
How will Todd manage this heart-wrenching situation?
Meanwhile, Brody Michaelis is struggling to stay on the right path after his mum, Lou, was imprisoned for her attack on Gary and the man he thought was his dad, Mick, who murdered PC Craig Tinker in May.
Despite having his biological father, DC Kit Green, keeping a watchful eye on him, another local resident, Carl Webster, has taken an interest in the young lad. Carl, the dodgy half-brother of Kevin and Debbie Webster, requires help with his car theft scheme and enlists Brody and Dylan, leading to catastrophic outcomes.
Lastly, Carla Connor, having already endured one unsuccessful proposal attempt, is determined to ask her girlfriend Lisa Swain to marry her.
Fans were disappointed earlier in August when the Underworld factory boss’ plan to propose didn’t go as expected. Carla, having nervously prepared her proposal, was seen waiting in the Rovers Return.
With Lisa arriving late, their attention was diverted by Debbie Webster.
Debbie was overheard asking the couple for their opinion on her own wedding invitations, which led to Lisa engaging in conversation.
Debbie then asked Lisa how her late wife, Becky, had proposed, and that’s when Carla’s plan fell apart. Carla revealed that Becky had planned a dinner out where she slipped the engagement ring into a glass of bubbly.
As the story unfolds, Glenda Shuttleworth is en route. Carla, champagne glass in hand, was on the verge of popping the question in a similar manner before she suddenly halted.
Yet, the newest teaser hints that Carla is resolved to make it perfect this time, even going as far as seeking the blessing of Lisa’s teenage daughter, Betsy, for Lisa’s hand in marriage. Will ‘Swarla’ finally edge closer to their fairy-tale ending?
