Loose Women host Christine Lampard was back to front Monday’s show
Christine Lampard made the announcement within moments of Monday’s Loose Women beginning. The revelation follows the ITV programme’s removal from screens the previous week.
Christine told viewers at the programme’s opening that Loose Women would run until 1.45pm today rather than the standard 12.30pm conclusion.
Christine opened: “Welcome to your Bank Holiday Monday Loose Women, we are here with you live for an extra-long show today.
“Put the kettle on, get comfy, as we’ve got lots coming up, including not one, not two, but three fantastic guests today. At one o’clock, we’re going to be joined by actor Bronagh Waugh.
“She’s going to be revealing what it was like working alongside Line of Duty star Adrian Dunbar in the detective drama Ridley, and if a third series is on the cards,” reports the Express.

The presenter added: “And former EastEnders star John Partridge and two-time Olivier Award winner Tracy Bennett will be telling us about what to expect when they transport fans back to the 30s for their brand new show.
“And as leading children’s charities issue fresh calls to ban smacking in England, we’re asking, is it ever acceptable to lose your temper in front of your children?”
Turning her focus to their opening discussion point, Christine continued: “First, though, we’re going to start with some showbiz news. And star of the hotly anticipated Thursday Murder Club, Dame Helen Mirren, has said she gets really annoyed by people who call her sweet.
“The award-winning actor, who turned 80 in July, said she typically gets this response when she’s out with her husband for a walk.”
As a photo appeared on the screen, she added, “That’s her husband there, Director Taylor Hackford. He’s also 80, and they’re out for a walk together, and they get this from people, ‘Oh, you look so sweet’. Would that annoy you?”
Last week, Loose Women was taken off air for three days and substituted with James Martin’s Great British Adventure, which originally broadcast in 2019.
The scheduling changes were revealed on Loose Women during Tuesday’s (August 19) programme by comedian Lee Peat, who doesn’t normally appear on camera as he serves as the warm-up performer for the studio audience.
As the programme concluded, presenter Christine Lampard confirmed that it would return to its regular schedule on Bank Holiday Monday (August 25).
Loose Women broadcasts on weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV.
