The first evening qualifying session was abandoned following the accident on the first lap of the Junior/Supertwin qualifying
Northern Irish rider Andy McAllister had to be taken to hospital with suspected arm injuries following a crash during the first evening qualifying session for the Manx Grand Prix on Monday.
The Junior/Supertwin was initially halted and then abandoned following the incident at the Black Dub only 10 minutes in.
Isle of Man Today reported the Bangor man was airlifted to Noble’s Hospital for further assessment but was conscious and talking.
Organisers had hoped to continue with the session on Monday night but the road surface could not be cleaned to a sufficient standard in time for the session to continue.
Qualifying session around the the 37.7-mile Mountain Course are set to continue on Tuesday evening with roads set to close at 6pm.
The Senior/Supersport MGP riders will be out first at 6.30pm with the Junior/Supertwin MGP riders following at 7.20pm.
Organiser have reintroduced the Classic TT to this year’s event in a bid to increase visitor numbers.
