Picture This announces massive SSE Arena Belfast gig for 2025

They listened to their dedicated NI fan base who missed them this summer!

Picture This is coming back to their second home this Christmas after announcing a huge Belfast show.

After their dedicated fan base in Northern Ireland was heartbroken to not see them at any of the summer festivals this year, they will play a ‘Home for Christmas’ gig at the SSE Arena on December 27.

Since first emerging ten years ago in 2015, Picture This have become one of Ireland’s most successful bands, selling out arenas at home and abroad and amassing a global fanbase drawn to their heartfelt lyrics and arena-sized choruses.

A spokesperson said: “This Christmas show marks the band’s long-awaited return to Belfast following a sold-out Belsonic and their sold-out headline performance at St Anne’s Park, Dublin in June 2024.

“After playing a sold-out run of 4 coastal regions they never played before the band naturally felt they had to bring their new show also to Belfast and Dublin.

“Witness the band’s unique theatrical show with a pub, its garden and a car park on stage; party moments of a pub lock-in paired with the stripped back emotions of a trad session; a journey through the band’s best of catalogue of 4 albums.”

The announcement follows the release of their new single Heart over Head, a collaboration with German artist Joris and a reinvention of his huge domestic hit ‘Herz über Kopf’.

Speaking to Belfast Live previously about performing in Belfast, frontman Ryan Hennessy said: “The thing about playing the Belfast shows is that it feels like a night out.

“The show itself is so high energy and crazy that you feel like you’re on a night out.

“I think we’ve said it a million times, and I hope people of the north in general and of Belfast don’t think we’re being disingenuous but the love we felt from day one has just been incredible and hard to understand.

“We’re super, super grateful, and we’ll keep coming back and playing shows in Belfast for as long as the people want us to come back.”
