Police remain at the scene on Irish Street
A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after an arson attack on a Co Armagh pub.
Two people have been taken to hospital for treatment after the incident at Toby Jug Bar on Irish Street in Armagh City. Police said they remain at the scene, with Irish Street remaining closed at this time.
Officers attended the scene at around 8.55pm and attended alongside the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service. Two people were taken to Craigavon Area Hospital after initial treatment.

A 38-year-old man has been arrested on a number of offences. A PSNI spokesperson said: “Police are at the scene of an arson attack in the Irish Street area of Armagh which is closed at this time.
“Officers received a report of a fire shortly around 8:55pm. They were in attendance alongside colleagues from Northern Ireland Fire Rescue Service who extinguished the blaze.
“Two people have been taken to hospital for treatment to their injuries.
“A 38 year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and arson with intent to endanger life. He remains in custody at this time.”
Sinn Féin MP for Newry and Armagh, Dáire Hughes, said: “This was a frightening incident for those in the vicinity, and I want to commend the swift response from emergency services.
“Police will remain in the area over the coming hours as their investigation continues. My thoughts are with anyone who may have been injured or impacted by this incident.”
