The new ‘pint report’ is based on figures from the Numbeo database and shows vast regional differences in average pint prices
Pints can be had for under £4 in the Northern Ireland town with the cheapest average prices for a beverage, a new report has claimed.
Enniskillen ranks as the town with the cheapest average price of a pint with the new report putting it at just £3.80, followed by Derry at £4.25.
The cheaper prices are in stark contrast with the cost of a pint elsewhere in Northern Ireland, with Lisburn ranking in a similar analysis back in April this year as the most expensive place to order a beer in the entire UK – ahead even of cities like London with a notoriously high cost-of-living.

Belfast didn’t fare much better in that analysis, from the business comparison service Bionic that was based on figures from Statista and the Office for National Statistics, with an average price of £6 – just shy of the £6.10 average in Lisburn.
While the prices charged by pubs in the likes of Enniskillen and Derry are significantly cheaper than those you might find in Belfast or Lisburn, the new data shows the best prices on offer in Northern Ireland are still far removed from the bargain pints on offer in some locations elsewhere in the UK.
A new report compiled for the pub bench and outdoor furniture firm MG Timber shows that Arun in West Sussex is the most affordable location in the UK with a pint of beer costing just £2 on average.
Burnley in Lancashire is listed with an average price of £2.50, and Llandudno in Wales at £2.71.
The new report, published by the OMS marketing firm and based on figures drawn from the Numbeo database, found that some locations have now surpassed the £6.10 average found in Lisburn earlier this year.
“As the cost of living continues to be a hot topic across the UK, one of the simplest pleasures, enjoying a pint at your local pub, is feeling the impact,” the report states.
“While some areas are still clinging to pre-inflation prices, others are now charging upwards of £7 for a single drink.
“In response to growing public interest in price disparities across the country, we have teamed up with MG Timber, a UK manufacturer of handcrafted pub benches and outdoor furniture, to launch the Pint Report. The report ranks the cheapest and most expensive towns and cities to buy a pint of beer, revealing striking regional differences in cost.”
It continues: “Based on data sourced from Numbeo in May 2025, the report doesn’t just highlight the most affordable places to grab a drink, it also gives valuable insight into the wider affordability of dining out, with average prices for a three-course meal for two also included for added context.
“So, whether you’re planning a night out or simply curious about how your local compares to the rest of the UK, the Pint Report offers a snapshot of where your money stretches the furthest and where it doesn’t.”
“Witney, located in the otherwise Oxfordshire countryside, leads the list at a steep £7 a pint, over three times the price found in Arun. Meanwhile, Lewisham, Brighton and Godalming all reflect rising costs in more urban and commuter-heavy areas.
“Interestingly, Aberdare in Wales also ranks among the priciest, showing that high prices aren’t limited to the South East.”
The five cheapest locations in Northern Ireland, according to the ‘pint report’, are as follows:
- Enniskillen £3.80
- Derry £4.25
- Newry £4.45
- Armagh £5
- Craigavon £5
