Coronation Street fans believe they’ve uncovered a new divorce plot after Dev Alahan issued a chilling warning to his son, Aadi.
It’s been a challenging few weeks for Aadi (Adam Hussain), especially after his summer party in June took a dark turn.
The gathering at number seven spiralled out of control when Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) accidentally drank from Aadi’s cup, which contained LSD.
After hallucinating her deceased abuser, Joel Deering (Calum Lill), and tumbling down some steps outside Underworld, Lauren was hospitalised with broken ribs and a ruptured spleen.
But that’s not all, as Aadi also orchestrated a burglary at the shop to help settle his debts, but the insurance payout didn’t materialise, reports Leicestershire Live.

Upon learning about the party and staged shop burglary, Aadi’s father, Dev (Jimmi Harkishin), was adamant about sending him to India.
In Wednesday’s (August 13) episode, Dev’s new wife, Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove), attempted to convince him to employ her grandson, Brody Michaelis (Ryan Mulvey), at the shop.
Aadi then disclosed that Brody was the one who brought the drugs to the party, leading Dev to label Aadi as the worst offender in the situation.
Later, Bernie suggested to Dev that they should delay their honeymoon and he should use the time to mend fences with Aadi.
Dev agreed but insisted that Bernie must go alone as the break will do her good.
Now, several Corrie fans are speculating that Bernie could divorce Dev after discovering his treatment of Aadi.
The couple notably exchanged their vows in A&E last week after Bernie suffered an asthma attack during the ceremony at the Bistro.
“The character assassination of Aadi for the sake of him leaving [the show] is ridiculous, and Dev’s completely out of line. Such a horrible way to give him an exit,” one viewer posted on Reddit.
Another chimed in: “Bernie should just threaten him with divorce if he goes through with deporting Aadi,” while a third commented: “Yes, I’m hoping Bernie divorces Dev for sending Aadi to India.”
A fourth fan echoed these sentiments, stating: “Bernie isn’t going to be happy once she learns of Dev telling Aadi he was worse than Brody in all this and that he’s fed up with him.”
