The aftermath of Vinny’s shocking attack by Mike has been revealed by the ITV soap
Emmerdale’s Vinny Dingle is set for more turmoil following his brutal attack by homophobe Mike, a man he met online, thinking he could be a good friend.
During Tuesday’s visit to the Dales (August 12), Vinny (Bradley Johnson) realised that Mike (Macaulay Cooper), who he met via a support forum for those questioning their sexuality, wasn’t the accepting person he initially appeared to be.
In a shocking twist, Mike revealed he had been recording his conversations with Vinny, and threatened to expose the truth to Vinny’s fiancée Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) unless he paid him off.
It wasn’t long before Mike gave Vinny a vicious beating, and Vinny complied with the blackmail plot in order to escape the violence, and keep his confusion over his sexuality a secret.

On Wednesday (August 13), Vinny was in pain as he desperately tried to cover up his injuries from the attack.
His day got worse when Kammy Hadiq (Shebz Miah) approached and teased him about following bride-to-be Gabby’s orders, telling him to “man up”, leading Vinny to snap, and a showdown ensued.
Later, Kammy went to visit Vinny, and he could see his pal was in physical and emotional pain, but Vinny failed to open up about his ordeal with Mike.
In forthcoming Emmerdale scenes, Gabby tries to persuade Vinny to report Kammy to the police, but he is tormented by his guilt.
But when Gabby’s resized wedding rings arrive, she realizes they are not the originals, and Vinny confesses he lost them.
Trying to move on from his ordeal, Vinny puts his turmoil behind him following Mike’s betrayal.
However, it appears it isn’t over yet as Vinny’s horrified when the police arrive at the scrapyard.
They quiz Vinny on whether he knows a man named Graham, who also goes by the name Mike.
Although Vinny paid for his silence, the police are investigating ‘Mike’ for extortion. Will Vinny tell Gabby the truth?
