Tracy Shaw, best known for her role as Maxine Peacock in Coronation Street, was a beloved character on the soap.

She first graced our screens as hairdresser Maxine in 1995 and quickly became a fan favourite with her dramatic storylines, including an affair with Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) and having a baby with the local doctor while married to Ashley (Steven Arnold).

However, her time on the cobbles came to a tragic end in 2003 when she was murdered by villain Richard Hillman (Brian Capron) in a shocking scene that still resonates with fans today.

In her personal life, Tracy has had a few high-profile relationships, including a romance with actor and singer Darren Day. She was previously married to TV producer Robert Ashworth, but they divorced in 2001.

She is now happily settled with childhood friend Ashley Poundall, with whom she shares two teenage sons, Louis and Luca.

Last month, Tracy celebrated her 52nd birthday and shared a stunning post on Instagram where she looked as youthful as her Corrie days. In the caption, she wrote: “Yesterday I turned 52yrs. Thank you for all your amazing messages. Grateful to be alive, love, blessings to all who l’ve met on this journey, especially all sisters and brothers I’ve met since I was 30yrs old arriving into a wonderful fellowship of 12 step program.
