Former Emmerdale actor Sebastian Dowling, who played Heath Hope on the beloved ITV soap for 17 years, has revealed a stunning makeover 18 months following his character’s on-screen demise.
The star departed the programme in a gripping New Year’s Eve plot in 2023 when his character perished in a car accident involving other young villagers.
His character failed to survive the collision, bringing to a close his lengthy stint on the soap, which began when he was just a baby.
The actor turned to Instagram to display his post-Emmerdale appearance, having ditched his lengthy blonde locks and embraced fitness to achieve a complete physical overhaul, reports the Express.
He posted several snaps of his fresh look, accompanied by the simple caption: “Have you missed me?”

One intimate photograph highlighted his striking hair makeover, now featuring a cropped, tousled, brunette style.
A further image captured him posing shirtless before a mirror to flaunt his newly-sculpted physique.
This represented his first social media post in nearly 12 months, leaving followers astounded by his altered appearance.
In the comments section, one fan declared: “Now this is what a ‘glow up’ looks like.” Another commented: “Holy c***, mans become hulk! looking great bro.”
A third responded: “Wow, guy. All grown up and looking great. Still miss you on the show. Let us know what you up to now.”
Meanwhile, a fourth declared: “Wow, you look awesome there, Seb. Nice one there Mate!”
The dreadful car crash was initially thought to have been caused by Heath’s twin sister, Cathy, portrayed by Sebastian’s real-life twin Gabrielle.
However, it later transpired that Cathy had not been driving, and it was eventually proven that Angelica King (Rebecca Bakes) had been the one behind the wheel and responsible for Heath’s death.
The crash ultimately led to her departure, as she faced trial, charged with causing death by dangerous driving.
For the offence, she received an eight-month custodial sentence at a secure children’s home. However, there is a possibility that she will return to the village once her sentence is served.
