The Beacon of Hope Remembrance Service will honour loved ones who are no longer with us
The Community Rescue Service is inviting people to attend a special service of remembrance in memory of “loved ones who are no longer with us”.
The vital rescue service will be holding its second annual Beacon of Hope gathering at Belfast Castle Gardens on Sunday, December 7, at 7pm, which will give people the opportunity to come together and reflect on the memories of family and friends who have passed away.
The CRS is a charity rescue service that operates in communities across Northern Ireland, providing much needed support to help find missing people and those who have been injured or become stranded in difficult to reach places. It is run entirely by volunteers who give up their time to help others.

The charity has said the Beacon of Hope is a way that it can give back to the communities that support it and show they are always in their thoughts.
It has said that attendees on Sunday can expect Quiet reflection and moments of remembrance, gentle music and communal support alongside a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all. Commerative candles will also be supplied at the event and seating for those who need it.
CRS has asked those who intend to come to the event to RSVP via private message to its Facebook page, although this is not necessary to attend, and to “invite friends, family, and anyone who would find comfort in this evening of remembrance.”
