A former campmate has shared a behind-the-scenes secret from her time in the jungle
Medics on I’m A Celebrity are said to be on “red alert” due to dangerously high humidity levels in the jungle this week.
This year’s series features the likes of Ruby Wax, Martin Kemp, Kelly Brook, Aitch, Alex Scott, Angry Ginge, Shona McGarty, Eddie Kadi, Lisa Riley, Vogue Williams, Tom Read Wilson and Jack Osbourne. And it has already had its fair share of incidents.
Now, former contestant Scarlette Douglas, 38, revealed that one of her campmates was left “screaming” after an incident, with medics on standby to assist.
Speaking to the Express on behalf of Sky Vegas, the A Place In The Sun presenter shared some behind-the scenes secrets from her time on the 2022 series of I’m A Celeb, including the moment Seann Walsh cried out after being bitten in camp, reports the Express.

“There’s a medical tent, so if anything serious happens, you can go there, explain the problem and they’ll assess you,” Scarlette explained.
She went on to say: “I remember getting mosquito bites constantly. You’re given insect repellent, but Australian insects seem unfazed by it! Babatúndé [Aléshé] and I were covered in bites.
“I recall Sean Walsh suddenly screaming and jumping up after being bitten by the tiniest scorpion I’ve ever seen. It was tiny, but apparently the bite was ferocious.”
Scarlette also revealed that contestants don’t actually see the medical staff, explaining: “Sometimes you speak into your microphone or go to the Bush Telegraph to report it. For example, ‘I’ve got this rash,’ and they guide you from there.
“There’s a small camp area where they leave the medicine before you enter. You don’t actually see the medics; they drop off what you need, step out, and then you go in, collect it and leave.
“So yes, there are medics on standby. If anything major happens, they do look after you.”
The I’m A Celebrity camp recently descended into mayhem as production crew rushed the contestants into the Bush Telegraph for safety during a fierce thunderstorm this week.
Recording for Monday’s (November 24) episode was pushed back by three hours whilst the famous faces took refuge in the cramped confession booth as torrential rain battered down amid thunder and lightning.
