Police respond to security alert in Derry/Londonderry

Police responded to an incident in Derry/Londonderry

PSNI announced that police were at the scene of a security alert in the Glenabbey Close area of Derry/ Londonderry this morning, (Thursday).

Ammunition Technical Officers (ATO) were on the scene and cordons are in place, as a number of homes evacuated.

Police asked that people avoid the area until further notice.

PSNI have been approached for comment.
