I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! viewers saw Angry Ginge and Ruby Wax take part in the first trial of the series on Monday night.

This year’s I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! is officially underway, with the contestants having made their journey down under.

After their first night in camp, the line-up is acclimatising to their new environment, with Lisa Riley causing a stir by breaking the rules when an unexpected visitor entered the camp.

During the ITV show, Angry Ginge and Ruby Wax took on the first Bushtucker trial of the series at The Divey, consuming a variety of items.

The pair alternated in consuming such delicacies as witchetty grubs, mealworms, a bull’s tongue and a camel toe, reports the Express.

Ginge expressed concern about the challenge after struggling with the first item, a combination of five cockroaches and five mealworms.

He warned hosts Ant and Dec: “If that’s the one we’re starting with, we’re in trouble…”

Despite his difficulties, the content creator managed to keep it down.

However, viewers were less than impressed with the trial, watching Ginge’s struggle not to vomit, with many voicing the same complaint.

On X, one viewer exclaimed: “Feel sick omg.” Another remarked: “This makes me feel more sick than any other bushtucker trial ever has before.”

Another person commented: “This looks so disgusting. While one fan shared: “I swear this eating trial has been one of if not the worst I’ve seen.”

Yet another viewer stated: “The eating trials get worse every year, I swear.”

While someone else pleaded: “Please please please for the love of god can they stop sticking their tongues out after eating.”

In the end, the duo succeeded in securing all 10 stars for camp, ensuring a hearty meal for the group that evening.

Describing the trial to her fellow celebrities, Ruby described it as ‘nauseating’.

In another segment of the show, Ruby took the initiative to lead a group meditation session, with Lisa, Shona, Jack, Kelly and Alex opting to join the session by the creek.

When an intrigued Kelly asked about her knowledge of meditation, Ruby revealed: “I went to university 10 years ago and got my degree – in neuroscience, mindfulness and cognitive therapy at Oxford, and I was really stupid as a kid!”

Reflecting on her peers during her university days, she admitted: “They were snobby.”
