PARIS — Anne-Sarah Panhard has been appointed the new managing director of Hermès Perfumes and Beauty.

She joined the house in 2011 and since 2018 has held the role of managing director of Hermès Maison, where Panhard oversaw decorative objects, tableware, furniture and furnishing textiles collections. That job also entailed heading up Puiforcat, the tableware brand owned by Hermès.

Between 2012 and 2018, she was managing director of Hermès France, and prior to that, for one year, Panhard served as general manager of the Faubourg Saint-Honoré flagship in Paris. Panhard has also worked as a country manager for Saks Fifth Avenue in Bahrain and for Salvatore Ferragamo in the U.K., and was divisional sales manager for fashion accessories and fine jewelry at Harrods, among other jobs held, according to her LinkedIn profile.

Panhard began in the beauty role on Nov. 1. Agnès de Villers, who had headed up that activity at Hermès since May 2015, has become vice president of the Hermès Maroquinerie-Sellier métiers, which involves the Equestrian, Hermès Horizons, Petit h and Internet of Things specialties. She maintains her role as chairwoman of the board of directors of Hermès Perfumes et Beauty.

While growing Hermès’ perfume offer, de Villers spearheaded the house’s launch into the makeup category in 2020, with the introduction of lipsticks, called Rouge Hermès. Their hues nodded to the house’s silk squares and came in multicolored, striped cases that are refillable. Other color cosmetics products and accessories have subsequently been added.
