The competition will see 12 champions from all four provinces go head-to-head
The finest spoken word talent from across the island of Ireland will take the stage at the All-Ireland Poetry Slam Final, to be held in Bangor, North Down, later this month.
Hosted by Aspects Festival, the competition will see 12 champions from all four provinces go head-to-head in a fast-paced evening of performance poetry. Each performer will be battling for the title of All Ireland Slam Champion 2025, and each will be delivering their own original works.
The event will be held in Studio 1A, Hamilton Road, Bangor on Saturday November 22 at 5pm. It will be hosted by Ards and North Down Borough Council.

Patricia Hamilton, Arts Officer for the council, said: “Expect wit, rhythm, heart, and high stakes as voices from every corner of Ireland collide in this celebration of language and creativity. Come early, cheer loud and witness the power of words in full flight.”
She added: “We are delighted to host the All-Ireland Poetry Slam in Bangor this year for the very first time. Come along and see the very best poetry slam talent.”
Poetry slam MC and organiser Frank Rafferty said: “The All-Ireland Poetry Championship culminates in the annual final which enables 12 poets from the island of Ireland to shine, dazzle and move us with short examples of their verbal dexterity, humour, absurdity and wit. After which one will be dubbed All Ireland Slam Champion 2025.”
Winners of the Aspects North Down Heat of the Poetry Slam, Jude Fox, Maria Connolly and Anne-Marie Foster have been invited to perform at the All-Ulster Slam Final, which is being held in An Culturlann in Derry on Sunday November 16.
