Ruth Langsford returned to our TV screens on Tuesday (November 4) as she hosted Loose Women alongside GK Barry, Denise Welch and Jane Moore
Loose Women’s Ruth Langsford has tackled rumours suggesting she’s entered a fresh romance with a mystery man.
The TV host, 65, returned to our screens on Tuesday (November 4) as she explored various subjects with co-presenters GK Barry, Denise Welch and Jane Moore.
Yet it was a particular discussion that captured viewers’ attention as she clarified her romantic situation following images of her with an unidentified man circulating on social media.
The broadcaster confirmed the photograph was artificially generated and she remains unattached, reports the Express.
Puzzled by the image, she remarked: “Unknown to me, apparently I have a man. I don’t know who the woman in the bobble hat is because it is clearly not me and I’m not sure who that man is.”

Fellow presenter Denise observed: “I thought that was you but in AI. It is you in AI.” Ruth responded: “Well it’s something.. They’ve done something to it.”
The image was accompanied by a fabricated article detailing how the imaginary pair met. Referencing the piece, Ruth noted: “The full story girls is heartbreak, closure and a love that came full circle.”
Still bewildered, the panellist added: “Apparently, according to the article that is all over Facebook or something because friends kept ringing me up and going ‘have you got a new man that you haven’t told us about’ I said ‘no'”.
Everyone erupted in laughter as Ruth continued: “Apparently I met this man when we were childhood sweethearts when I grew up in Belfast, which I didn’t and now it’s come full circle after all these years and we’re back together.”
Jane confessed: “Do you know what, we’re laughing but people believe that and you see these things all the time.
“If that gets abused into saying that you said something that you didn’t say or did something that you didn’t do. That to me is scary.”
Denise was swift to enquire: “Mind you, that guy on there is the real person?” Everyone broke into laughter as she remarked: “Because he was alright.”
Ruth concurred and she remarked: “Well yeah, he’s not bad.” Ruth was wed to Eamonn Holmes for 14 years before revealing their surprising separation in May last year.
Loose Women broadcasts weekdays from 12:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
