The 39-year-old was found guilty of raping a woman in a Boston hotel in March 2024

This is the moment an Irish firefighter was removed from a flight moments before it was due to take off, just hours after he was interviewed by Boston police.

Dublin firefighter Terence Crosbie, 39, was found guilty of rape at Suffolk Superior Court in Boston on Friday, October 24. He was charged with raping a 29-year-old woman at the Omni Parker Hotel during St Patrick’s Day celebrations in the early hours of March 15, 2024, and denied the allegation.

The court heard Crosbie spoke to detectives and then booked a 10:10 pm Aer Lingus flight that was set to depart from Logan Airport to Dublin Airport on March 16, 2024, reports Irish Star.

After arriving at Logan Airport, Crosbie switched to an earlier flight departing at 6.30pm. When officers questioned Crosbie, he told them he wasn’t supposed to return to Dublin until after St Patrick’s Day.

The authorities grounded the plane as it was preparing for takeoff. The footage shows U.S. officers boarding the aircraft at Boston Logan International Airport.

The officers walked down the aisle of the plane and stopped to speak to Crosbie, who then stood up and took his belongings from the overhead bin. He was then seen stepping off the aircraft and he was taken into custody.

Crosbie has remained in custody in Boston since. He will be sentenced later this month and faces up to 20 years behind bars.
