Conor McGregor was seen wearing what appeared to be a wedding ring

Conor McGregor has hinted that he and his fiancée, Dee Devlin, will be tying the knot soon, as he was seen sporting a ring on his wedding finger during a recent trip to Rome. The Dublin-born fighter made the comments at a press conference for the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship, an organisation in which he holds co-ownership.

The 36-year-old revealed that he has embarked on a ‘spiritual journey’, claiming to have been ‘saved’ and ‘healed’. McGregor has been engaged to Devlin, his long-term partner, since August 2020.

Devlin has remained by McGregor’s side throughout his various controversies, both inside and outside the octagon, as well as his legal disputes. The UFC star, who hasn’t stepped into the ring in over four years, lost his bid to overturn a civil case loss in July, after being ordered to pay Nikita Hand €250,000.

“I am not here just by chance. There is a higher power, God, that dictates my journey and all of our journeys,” McGregor stated at Thursday’s press conference.

“I live my life by God’s word, since around the last time you mentioned at the last event, I have engaged on a spiritual journey. I am saved. I am healed.”, reports the Irish Mirror.

“On the back of that, the world is in for a treat. My competitive spark that was once in my heart is now a roaring blaze.

“I’m eager. Right now I have to dial myself in and go inward, and that I’ve done, and now I’m in a stage where I come back and show what I’m about.

“Now I’m here with my own family, my beautiful children, my fiancée, wife-to-be soon.”

Devlin publicly supported McGregor after last year’s civil case, posting on Instagram: “My man and I have created a beautiful life together. No one is entitled to comment on our relationship- we trust one another and love one another.

“Nothing or nobody will change that. Our family stands strong.”

McGregor is gearing up for a comeback to the UFC next summer at the promotion’s landmark White House event, which forms part of a series of events marking the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States.

Earlier this month, it was disclosed that McGregor is currently serving an 18-month ban for breaching the UFC’s Anti-Doping Policy, having missed three biological sample collections within a 12-month period.

The ban took effect on 20 September 2024 and concludes on 20 March 2026, meaning he would be eligible to compete on the White House card.

“We’re not even looking at the White House card until February,” said UFC president Dana White when recently questioned about the prospect of McGregor participating in the White House card.

“We have literally not talked about one fight on the White House card yet. We won’t even start until February. And then, whether he’s [ Conor McGregor ] available or not.”
