Police are investigating an alleged serious sexual assault at a Northern Ireland prison.
The incident is reported to have occurred at HMP Magilligan in Co Derry on Sunday, October 19th.

A police spokesperson said: “A man has been granted bail to allow for further police enquiries, following a report of serious sexual assault in HM Prison Magilligan on Sunday, 19 th October.”
When contacted, a Department of Justice spokesperson said: “The Prison Service cannot comment on an ongoing police investigation.”
