Emmerdale spoilers have hinted at explosive scenes
Emmerdale has recently introduced a new character, Kev Townsend, who is revealed to be the estranged husband of Robert Sugden in a dramatic plot twist.
Kev, portrayed by Chris Coghill, arrived in the village on Monday after serving time in prison with Robert, where they tied the knot behind bars.
Now that both prisoners are free, Kev is hoping for a happily married life in the village.
At present, Kev, who prefers to keep his sexuality under wraps for now, is living with Claudette and Charles Anderson as part of a prison outreach programme.
However, Robert is feeling uneasy about his estranged husband’s return, especially since he has just rekindled his relationship with his ex-husband Aaron Dingle, reports the Daily Star.
Robert is keeping his marriage to Kev a secret, assuring Aaron, who has been suspicious of Kev, that he is merely an ex-cellmate.
But things are about to get heated in upcoming episodes… as Aaron catches Kev kissing Robert in public.
In next week’s spoilers, Aaron comes home and is urged by Chas Dingle to apologise to Vinny Dingle and talk about his altercation with Robert. Shortly afterwards, while unpacking, Vinny gives Aaron the cold shoulder and leaves.
Meanwhile, on Main Street, Kev watches a furious Aaron, aware that he has spilled the beans about his marriage to the village.
The tension escalates at the cafe between Aaron and Robert when DS Carter shows up looking for Kev to question him about an assault on an old friend.
Later, at the Woolpack, Aaron’s apology to Vinny is accepted, but the peace is soon disrupted by Robert and Kev’s arrival.
The situation deteriorates when Aaron’s composure crumbles upon realising that Robert has informed Kev about his past with Gordon, leaving Chas to console her devastated son.
Upon returning to Mill Flat later, Aaron is confronted by Kev, who issues a chilling death threat if Aaron doesn’t leave him and Robert in peace.
The following day, Robert encounters Aaron and is left disturbed to learn about Kev’s death threats. Over at the pub, Robert confronts Kev about his threats and things quickly escalate, especially when Aaron arrives.
Later, Aaron confides in Mack Boyd about his concerns with Kev, prompting Mack to decide to stand up for Aaron. However, how will Kev react?
