The NHS has issued advice on how to spot the symptoms of Covid-19, as the Stratus variant is currently the most dominant strain in the UK, with cases rising in hospitals

The public has been urged to watch for symptoms persisting “more than an hour” that could indicate COVID-19. If you believe you may have contracted coronavirus, guidance remains to steer clear of contact with others.

Data reveals that the XFG variant, also referred to as Stratus, is presently the most prevalent strain. During recent weeks, the NB. 1.8 had also been prevalent, across the UK, reports the Mirror.

“For some people, it can be a more serious illness and their symptoms can last longer.”

The health organisation advises you should attempt to remain at home and avoid contact with other people if you or your child display symptoms and either:.

It states: “You can go back to your normal activities when you feel better or do not have a high temperature.”
