Loose Women star Coleen Nolan was joined by her ex-husband Ray Fensome on the ITV show today as he took on a new role as part of the house band for the musical special
Loose Women’s Coleen Nolan has revealed that her ex-husband Ray Fensome has joined the ITV show in a new role as the show airs its pre-recorded musical special.
During today’s (October 9) special episode of the ITV hit show, Coleen presented alongside Brenda Edwards, Myleene Klass, Oti Mabuse and Kéllé Bryan and they performed the tracks that supported them during difficult periods.
However, at the beginning of the programme, Coleen revealed that her former spouse Ray had become part of the show as a member of the house band for the episode, playfully teasing him about their “awful marriage”.
The panel kicked off the show with a stirring performance of Tina Turner’s Simply the Best, featuring Coleen, Brenda and Kéllé providing vocals whilst Myleene accompanied on piano and Oti provided choreography, reports the Mirror.
During a break in the performance, Coleen remarked: “Welcome to a very special Loose Women with Simply the Best panel.

“With World Mental Health Day tomorrow, we reveal how music changed our lives and helped us through our toughest times and we tell our music stories.”
Following the performance, Coleen presented the programme’s new house band – featuring her former husband Ray Fensome.
“A big welcome to our house band which is headed up by someone I know particularly well. My ex-husband Ray Fensome,” she announced.
As the camera focused on Ray, Coleen remarked: “That’s the look he always gave me when I was talking.”
She went on to reveal that the panel would not only be speaking from the heart, “but singing from the heart as well”.
Speaking about the music that helped them through difficult periods, Coleen said: “I would like to give a big shout-out to Adele, who helped me get over my really awful split from Ray.”
The audience erupted into laughter as Ray awkwardly chuckled along, with Coleen adding: “I’ve been waiting for this my whole life.”
Coleen married guitarist Ray Fensome in 2007 after they first met in 2000. They welcomed their daughter Ciara in June 2001, with Ray popping the question to Coleen on her 40th birthday four years later.
The Loose Women panellist had previously discussed their relationship troubles whilst appearing on Celebrity Big Brother in 2017, disclosing that she wanted to discover if they could repair their marriage.
However, in February 2018, she confirmed that their union had officially ended.
Despite their separation, the former pair have stayed on good terms. Coleen is also mum to sons Jake and Shane Jr from her marriage to EastEnders’ Shane Richie, which ran from 1990 until 1999.
