Primark is offering a “gorgeous” £16 handbag that’s been likened to a popular designer style. Shoppers are smitten with the new Rita Ora saddle bag, available in an autumnal brown shade. The £16 handbag, available in-store, has appeared in numerous viral videos.
Fashion blogger @gh0stblondie praised the hangbag’s ‘chic’ style in a TikTok post, writing: “Look at this Primark handbag, omg.” Her caption added: “No because she is GORGEOUS.” The post earned over 120,000 views and more than 6,500 likes.
One excited shopper replied: “Gorggggg I need it.” A second thought: “It’s fab!!” A third said: “I want this bag SO MUCH!” Another commenter said: “Had one similar in the 70s.”
Someone else shared: “Need 100 of them rn.” A designer fan claimed: “That looks like a Marc Jacob’s bag I love it.” Others wanted to know if the bag could fit a laptop. One viewer asked: “Does a laptop fit in it?? I think I have a 15 or 16 inc screen.”
Replying to the question in a second video, @gh0stblondie told viewers: “I’ve had a few questions asking if the bag itself fits in a laptop. So let’s give it a go together. I don’t know what size laptop this is, but this is mine. I feel like it’s just like a standard size. Let me see.”
She said: “It does, with room and ease. Oh my God. This is the laptop here. Look at that. She’s slid right in. It’s the perfect little work bag.” Later in the video, the shopper praised: “I’m actually obsessed. Look at that. How perfect. And then this on the front as well, that’s a big pocket on the front as well. So would you look at that? Perfect.”
The bag was just as popular with commenters, reports the Mirror. Someone wrote: “Still dreaming about this bag.” Another said: “Heading to primark right now!” A fan thought: “It gives Lorelai Gilmore handbag vibe.”
There was also a lot of praise for the style when it was showcased in a video shared by @alice.nendick. Alice said: “Okay, I’m obsessed with this bag. Is that not like the Chanel suede bag [alternative]?” The post gained over 160,000 views and 6,000 likes.
