Croke Park hosts the first-ever regular season NFL today when the Pittsburgh Steelers take on the Minnesota Vikings
The first-ever regular season NFL game to be played in Ireland sees the Pittsburgh Steelers take on the Minnesota Vikings this afternoon.
When tickets went on sale back in June, over 600,000 were in the queue with Croke Park’s capacity reduced from 82,300 to 76,000, although a small number of additional tickets went on sale earlier this week. The majority of tickets on sale are for Hill 16, which is seated for the game.
Croke Park previously hosted a pre-season tie between the Steelers and the Chicago Bears in 1997 while the Aviva Stadium has regularly hosted College Football games.

Both teams arrive in Dublin with identical 2-1 records. Both teams one their opening games, lost their next before returning to winning ways last weekend.
The Steelers edged the Jets 34-32 in week one before losing 31-17 at home to the Seattle Seahawks.
Aaron Rodgers picked up his ever first win at Foxboro Stadium as the Steelers defeated the New England Patriots 21-14.
The Vikings picked up a 34-32 win over divisional rivals Chicago Bears in their season opener before losing to the Falcons in week two.
With quarterback JJ McCarthy still sidelined, veteran Carson Wentz will line out for the Vikings this afternoon.
