Lidl Northern Ireland has issued a recall notice for a protein bar after an allergen issue.

The Healthy Fit Vegan Protein Bar contains canola rapeseed protein – an ingredient which can cause an allergic reaction to consumers who are allergic to mustard.

The Food Standards Agency said the affected product is the Hazelnut Nougat flavour in a pack size of 60g with best before dates of end of February 28, 2026, end of March 31, 2026, end of April 30, 2026, and end of July 31, 2026.

Point of sale notices will be issued for this Northern Ireland wide alert, which explain to customers why the product is being recalled and what you should do next.

The notice reads: “Healthy Fit is recalling the above Vegan Protein Bar due to the presence of canola rapeseed protein isolate. This ingredient can cause an allergic reaction to consumers who are allergic to mustard and products thereof.

“If you have purchased the product and have an allergy or intolerance to mustard, we advise you do not consume it. Instead, please return the product to a Lidl store for a full refund, with or without a receipt. Lidl wishes to apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
