Ryan passed away after a collision on the Ballydugan Road on Monday
The funeral details have been announced for 21-year-old Ryan Cunningham, who died following a crash in Co Down. Ryan passed away following a collision on the Ballydugan Road in Downpatrick on Monday, September 15.
Police say he was the driver of a silver VW Bora which was involved in a collision with a grey Toyota Avensis.
Many tributes paid to Ryan on social media have described him as a “gentleman”.
A notice on Funeral Times says the requiem mass for the 21-year-old son of Kevin and Martina will take place at Sacred Heart Church in Killowen on Friday, September 19, at 2 p.m.

The funeral notice added: “Interment in St. Colman’s Cemetery, Massforth, Kilkeel. Wake on Thursday, 18th September, from 10am to 10pm, and on Friday, 19th September, from 9am to 12pm. The house is strictly private between 12pm and 2pm on Friday.
“Deeply regretted by his loving mother and father and their partners, Noel and Stephanie, and his two sisters, Ivy and Lára. Grandparents Martin and Maria and Kevin and June. Aunts, Uncles and entire family circle.”
In an appeal issued on Tuesday, Inspector Cherith Adair from the PSNI’s Collision Investigation Unit said: “An investigation to establish the circumstances of what happened is ongoing.
“The Collision Investigation Unit is appealing to anyone who may have any information which could assist, or was travelling in the area at the time and captured any dash-cam or mobile phone footage, to get in touch on 101, quoting reference number 760 15/09/25.”
