Suspect, 39, due in court in morning
Detectives investigating a fatal attack on a man at his home in Co Armagh have charged a man with murder.
The PSNI had arrested one man, aged in his 30s, following the fatal attack on Christopher ‘Chrissy’ Burns in the Cusher Green area of Mountnorris on Thursday.
Mr Burns was aged in his 40s and was originally from the Warrenpoint area.
In a brief statement issued on Sunday afternoon, the PSNI said detectives from the Police Service of Northern Ireland’s Major Investigation Team investigating the murder of ‘Chrissy’ Christopher Burns in Mountnorris have charged a man with his murder.
The statement added: “The 39-year-old man is due to appear before Newry Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, Monday, 8th September. As is usual procedure, the charge will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.”
