A 39-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
Police have officially named the victim of a murder investigation launched following his death in Co Armagh on Thursday.
In a statement on Friday evening, detectives from the PSNI’s Major Investigation Team confirmed the name of the deceased as ‘Chrissy’ Christopher Burns.
Mr Burns, aged 40, who was originally from the Warrenpoint area, was found dead at an address in the Cusher Green area.

Police were called to the area at 11.30am on Thursday, September 4, following reports of a concern for safety at a property in the area.
Officers and colleagues from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service attended the property but Mr Burns was located deceased at the scene with serious head and facial injuries. A 39-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
Detective Chief Inspector Gary Robinson said: “Our thoughts are with Mr Burns’ family and loved ones at this distressing time as they try to come to terms with their tragic loss. Tributes have now poured in for the deceased Chrissy Burns, who was described as “a gentle wee soul” in one message of condolence published online, and “such a kind person, taken far too soon” in another.
Local TUV councillor Keith Ratcliffe said police had established a cordon in the village.
He added: “My thoughts and prayers are with those affected by this tragedy. I would urge everyone to allow the police to carry out their investigation fully and to avoid speculation.”
