CMAT has released her third album, EURO-COUNTRY — a record that expands her country-pop world while interrogating the economic and cultural shifts shaping modern life. Out now via AWAL Recordings, the LP was recorded in New York with long-time collaborator Oli Deakin and threads together themes of identity, community, grief and capitalism with her sharpest songwriting to date.

Speaking about the record, CMAT described it as her “most country” work so far, though one that resists easy classification: “If we know the thing we’re doing already exists, we have to fight against it and find a more interesting way of making it.” The result blends traditional textures like slide guitar and fiddle with a restless urge to push the genre’s boundaries.
The album’s release follows a breakthrough stretch for the Irish artist — from a viral Glastonbury set to a sold-out arena show in Dublin — and arrives with news of an extensive UK and Ireland headline tour in 2026, including dates at Alexandra Palace, St Anne’s Park and Virgin Media Park.
For CMAT, EURO-COUNTRY is both personal and political: a reflection on where she comes from, the changing shape of adult life under late capitalism, and the sense of community loss that defines a generation.
