Organisers have shared some ‘do nots’ for festival goers
EMERGE is back for another huge Bank Holiday weekend in Belfast, continuing a massive summer of music in the city.
With major names from the dance and electronic music industry, the annual two-day, multi-stage event is going to be “bigger and better” for its fourth year.
Brought to you by the team behind Shine and Belsonic, over 60,000 are expected to attend the Boucher Road Playing Fields on August 23 and 24.

Here are some dos and don’ts to consider before heading to EMERGE:
What can I not bring into Boucher Road Playing Fields for EMERGE?
Do not bring:
- Umbrellas, parasols and the like are not permitted at concert events for safety reasons
- Chairs, seats and tables are not permitted at events for safety reasons
- No bags bigger than A4 size are permitted
- Suitcases, luggage and large bags (anything bigger than A4 sized bags) are prohibited.
- Picnic blankets are not permitted
- No flags/emblems and flares/pyrotechnics of any kind permitted – those found to have brought inside face ejection without refund
Anyone considered to be engaging in disruptive behaviour may be ejected with no refund offered.
Is there a cloakroom or ATM at EMERGE?
There are no cloakroom, locker or ATM facilities on site – vendors and bars will have the option to pay by card.
Some DO NOT points:
Do not drink alcohol on board buses as it is illegal to do so.
Enforcement and Seizure Operations will be in place at various locations on main roads to the venue & along pedestrian routes within the immediate vicinity of the venue – offenders will be liable for a £1000 fine.
Do not park illegally.
Do not buy tickets from unofficial sources.
Do not rush the exits after the concerts.
Do not crowd surf, mosh or partake in antisocial behaviour as you will be removed from the venue without refund and relevant authorities will be notified.
