CKY Lock In Three Australian Dates for 2026 – Backseat Mafia

by wellnessfitpro

CKY will finally make their long-awaited return to Australia this January, announcing three headline shows following their previously cancelled co-headline run with Alien Ant Farm.

Formed in West Chester, Pennsylvania in 1998, CKY (short for Camp Kill Yourself) made their name with a heavy, riff-driven sound rooted in skate-punk culture. The original line-up featured Deron Miller (guitar, vocals), Chad I Ginsburg (lead guitar), and Jess Margera (drums), and their earliest exposure came through the CKY video series, created by Jess’s brother, skateboarder Bam Margera.

Their 1999 debut Volume 1 set the tone for a career built on gritty, no-frills rock, which would go on to soundtrack Jackass episodes and a generation of skate and surf compilations.

Tracks like “99 Quite Bitter Beings”, “Flesh Into Gear”, “Escape From Hellview”, and “Familiar Realm” remain staples of their catalogue, influencing a wave of modern punk and alt-rock acts — even being covered by groups like Polyphia.

Now, after years of anticipation and disruption, the band will bring their live show to Australian audiences for the first time in years.
