People have travelled from across the region to try the Stacked cans
Queues have been gathering at a Belfast café after it launched a new matcha in a can sensation.
Stacked, which first opened on the Glen Road in the west of the city in 2022, now has a second spot on the Antrim Road – and this week, it introduced new mobile vans, dedicated to machas and iced coffees.
And the latest trend of the popular drink, served hot and cold, has seen people travelling from all corners of the city, and further afield, to get their hands on one of the cans.

A spokesperson for Stacked said: “We’ve been blown away by the support people have been literally travelling from all over just to get their hands on our iced drinks.
“Whether you’re coming from down the road or across counties, thank you. The response has been nothing short of breathtaking. Stacked Iced Drinks are officially taking over the city the response has been unreal. Due to the insane demand, and yes, the queues, we’re rolling out not one, but two mobile Stacked units dedicated to serving our viral canned iced drinks.
“One of these bad boys will be parked outside one of our shops, taking the pressure off our already buzzing food counters — meaning faster, slicker, stress-free service. Following an extraordinary week of going viral across Belfast, Stacked Gourmet Sandwich Bars would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all our customers both new and returning who visited, shared, and supported us during this exciting time. It truly means the world to us.
“This past week, our teams were operating with reduced staff due to it being holiday season and some staff off in the sun and the bereavement of a couple of valued team member’s family. Despite the challenges, the Stacked crew on shift went above and beyond under intense demand to continue delivering what we’re proud to call award winning food officially recognised as Northern Ireland’s Deli of the Year 2025.
“We’re happy to report that the congestion at our Glen Road site has now eased, thanks to the successful launch of our Matcha Van which continues to be a lively and popular destination.
