Meet the Co Down man looking for the one on a new series of Love is Blind UK.

The experimental reality show on Netflix asks the question ‘is love really blind’ as singletons get to know each other without ever meeting face-to-face.

Back for a second series, Love is Blind is hosted Matt Willis and his wife and TV presenter Emma Willis, who will guide the incoming daters through the inevitable chaos that comes with “getting sight unseen”.

A description from Netflix reads: “The global dating experiment returns on August 13, as 30 men and women search for a soulmate solely based on an emotional connection.

“Over the course of several weeks, the participants will enter the pods in hopes of getting engaged, sight unseen. After meeting face-to-face, each engaged couple will move in together and navigate the stresses of daily life – from family drama to hectic work schedules and everything in between.

“At the end of it all, they’ll walk down the aisle and decide if they’re ready to say ‘I do’ within a matter of weeks.”

Billy Jervis Jr from Bangor is ready to use his Northern Irish charm to wow the 15 singletons and find a real connection in the pods.

The 35-year-old Army physical trainer is hoping to find the dog mum to his beloved pup and enjoy everything that comes with married life.

Here’s what Netflix had to say about Billy:

Billy’s ready to meet a woman who makes his heart sing — preferably any song by Michael Bublé, his go-to at the karaoke bar.

Though he got divorced five years ago after a “whirlwind romance,” Billy’s still a strong believer in marriage.

He loved being a husband and wants to find a life partner who’ll accompany him on group dates with his married friends, enjoy a pint of Guinness, and build a family with him. That family will, of course, include his beloved dog Ollie.

Love is Blind UK arrives on Netflix on August 13
