A man in his 50s was arrested
A toddler was rushed to hospital following an alleged assault in a Dublin park last week.
The incident occurred in Thomas Park, Sallynoggin, around 2.30pm on July 22. The lad, aged 20 months, was taken to Children’s Health Ireland (CHI) at Crumlin for treatment of his injuries.
A man in his 50s was arrested but has since been released without charge.

A Garda spokesman stated: “Gardaí are investigating an alleged assault that occurred in Thomastown Park, Sallynoggin, Dublin this afternoon Tuesday 22nd July, 2025 at approximately 2.30pm.
“A male infant, 20 months was injured during the incident and taken to Children’s Health Ireland (CHI) at Crumlin for treatment. A male, aged in his 50s was arrested and detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984. He has since been released without charge and investigations are ongoing.”, reports Dublin Live.
