I’m A Celebrity viewers were left worried by the start of Sunday’s show.
I’m A Celebrity fans expressed worry over presenter Ant McPartlin, who seemed under the weather during Sunday evening’s ITV broadcast (30 November).
As the programme’s latest instalment got underway, Ant and presenting partner Declan Donnelly revealed there are just seven days remaining before a campmate claims the title of jungle champion.
Broadcasting live from their Australian jungle base, Dec remarked: “Welcome to Australia, where after two weeks, people are starting to get on each other’s nerves.”
Ant interjected: “No, they are not,” to which Dec responded: “Yes, they are, you’re making a scene. We’ll talk about this later,” before both presenters burst into laughter.

Shortly afterwards, Ant continued: “But we start tonight with new leaders Shona and Lisa, who, after replacing Aitch and Ginge, were enjoying all of the luxuries that come with true power.”
Dec wryly commented: “There is nothing more luxurious than an unmade bed and a smelly treehouse.”
Nevertheless, Ant’s voice seemed noticeably “husky”, prompting viewers to worry he might be feeling poorly as the programme aired live from Down Under, reports the Express.
Posting on X, one viewer commented: “Oh dear, Ant doesn’t sound very well at all. #ImACeleb”, whilst another questioned: “Aww has Ant got a sore throat?”
A third urged: “Someone get Ant a lemsip #ImACeleb”, as a fourth observed: “Ant I reckon you need some halls soothers for that throat of yours @antanddec #ImACeleb.”
Another worried viewer declared: “Ant is slowly dying tonight #ImACeleb”. Whilst another questioned: “Oh no, what’s up with Ant the voice! @antanddec #ImACeleb”
“Poor Ant #ImACeleb,” commented another.
It marked Shona McGarty’s and Lisa Riley’s inaugural morning as camp leader and deputy, and both awoke refreshed following an excellent night’s rest in the treehouse’s comfort.
Nevertheless, Lisa was shortly escorted from camp as the moment had arrived for her maiden solo Bushtucker trial, following the public vote. Upon reaching the Bushtucker trial clearing, she greeted Ant & Dec: “Hello, you delicious duo!”
With eleven minutes allocated to secure eleven stars and Lisa positioned in the mine, the klaxon blared. As she ventured into the opening section, rats joined her company whilst she shrieked and searched for a star, initially grabbing a fake diamond and also a camera (to Ant & Dec’s great entertainment) before returning both items.
Lisa headed back to camp, thrilled to relay the positive news to her fellow celebrities, as the camp applauded her achievement of securing eight out of eleven stars.
I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here airs weekdays at 9pm on ITV and ITVX.
