I’m A Celebrity’s Aitch and Tays real connection explained

I’m A Celebrity star Aitch and content creator Tays have a close bond – now fans are left wondering if they are related

I’m a Celebrity’s Aitch has quickly become a fan favourite, winning the hearts of viewers across the nation.

The Brit Award-winning artist recently joined other celebrities in the Australian jungle, including his best mate Angry Ginger, Emmerdale’s Lisa Riley and comedian-actor Ruby Wax.

Outside of the ITV reality show and his successful music career, Aitch is known for appearing on Angry Ginger and Tay’s YouTube videos and popular podcasts.

Fans have been speculating about a possible familial connection between Aitch and Tays, real name Michael Taylor, due to their striking resemblance and close relationship.

Both lads hail from Manchester and are known for their charming, cheeky demeanour and Northern humour. While Aitch made his debut in 2017, Tays initially started as a musician before venturing into streaming and content creation.

He made quite an impression during his stint on season 5 of Footasylum’s popular reality show Locked back in 2024, even going on to win the show.

Although not as well-known as Aitch yet, Tays has garnered a significant following and support for his music, with over 1 million streams on his most popular track.

Despite their close bond and similar appearances, the pair are not related. In a podcast with Angry Ginger, Tays clarified: “Aitch is a very good friend of mine, someone I grew up with.

“I’ve just always known him, my mum and dad, and his mum an d dad are like best mates, so I just grew up going to their house.”

He continued: “People get confused and think we’re cousins, but nah. It’s one of them where it’s like not your family but like, it is.”

Despite Aitch not having a brother, the 25 year old star has two younger twin sisters Gracie and Hattie, who are a decade younger than him.

Aitch shares a special connection with Gracie, who has Down Syndrome. Aitch previously revealed: “I wouldn’t even be half the person I am if she wasn’t here.

“And she actually teaches you lessons that you don’t even realise till after. She always used to grab my face before I used to go to bed and just go, ‘Harrison, don’t be afraid'”

Discussing the influence Gracie has had on him, Aitch explained: “It’s taught me, and this sounds bad, but it taught me more to treat everyone the same. And to understand that everyone is a human.”
