I’m a Celebrity star Ruby Wax was at the centre of a camp mystery on Wednesday

I’m a Celebrity star Ruby Wax sparked tension over a major camp error on Wednesday (November 19).

The 72-year-old comedic icon is amongst ten celebrity participants who have exchanged their luxurious lifestyles for three weeks in the Australian wilderness.

It’s already been an eventful period for Ruby as she’s endured having her head placed in a container with snakes, and had to suffer through an eating challenge alongside Angry Ginge.

The chaos persisted in the most recent instalment of the popular ITV show tonight, as the performer made an unfortunate error in camp.

Upon awakening in the morning, Ruby realised that the fire had extinguished during the night, so she chose to reignite it before the camp started preparing breakfast, reports the Express.

Nevertheless, when breakfast was eventually prepared, the celebrities were far from pleased with the condition of the rice and beans as they’d been left cooking for an excessive duration.

“I felt like I was eating a rock!” Eddie Kadi declared, whilst Martin Kemp remarked: “Eugh, that’s rough!”

Lisa Riley likewise observed: “It’s so dry.”

The conversation swiftly shifted to identifying the responsible party, with Ruby opting to remain silent and not disclose it was her doing. She subsequently revealed to the Bush Telegraph: “I think it was me, I put the rice down but then I forgot to get it off. That’s my fault.”

Matters deteriorated further when Ruby discovered a lengthy hair in her rice, yet she still decided not to admit responsibility.

“Let’s find the DNA and we’ll find out who screwed up the rice,” she quipped.

However, Ruby later chose to confess to some of her campmates, telling Ginge, Aitch and Lisa: “I think I put it on the fire.”

She then clarified that she didn’t believe it was her job to remove the rice from the fire. Upon discovering who was responsible, Aitch humorously threatened to spill the beans to everyone, while Ginge could only shake his head in disbelief.

This isn’t the only kitchen drama that’s unfolded in the camp, as Kelly Brook notably became upset last night after Jack Osbourne commented on her potato cutting technique.

“I’m so sorry, Jack, if I’m coming at you and if I’m cutting potatoes wrong, but honestly, it’s only coming from a place where I just want to help,” she said tearfully.

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! airs at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX
