Rock N Roll Circus will return to Sheffield’s Don Valley Bowl for its fourth edition across the 2026 August Bank Holiday weekend (28–30 August), with The Streets confirmed as the first headliners. Mike Skinner and his band will open the festival on Friday, performing their landmark album A Grand Don’t Come For Free in full for the first time, an announcement that follows news of their 2026 UK tour.
Since its launch in 2023, Rock N Roll Circus Sheffield has established itself as one of the UK’s most distinctive live music events, combining major artists with high-impact circus performance. Previous headliners include Queens of the Stone Age, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Self Esteem, Milburn and Reverend and the Makers, helping the festival grow in scale each year with extended hours, expanded staging and increasingly ambitious production.
The festival’s signature Big Top arena blends world-class live music with aerialists, fire shows, workshops and street performance, creating an immersive environment that redefines the traditional festival experience. Festival Director Ali O’Reilly said the return to the August Bank Holiday weekend reflects strong demand from fans and praised Sheffield’s “electric” atmosphere, adding that hosting The Streets under the Big Top will be “one not to be missed.”
A Grand Don’t Come For Free remains one of the defining UK albums of the 2000s, topping the charts on release in 2004 and producing hits such as “Dry Your Eyes,” “Fit But You Know It” and “Blinded By The Lights.” Skinner described the upcoming performances as a chance to bring the album’s full narrative to life, calling the Sheffield show “one for the books.”
With Norwich’s sister event, also headlined by The Streets, already close to selling out, organisers expect high demand ahead of further lineup announcements for Sheffield. Alongside the music, festivalgoers can look forward to a vibrant mix of circus performance, interactive experiences and an expanded food and drink village.
