ITV viewers were left frustrated in the second episode

Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly made an urgent appeal to ITV viewers after countless fans were left infuriated by a technical malfunction.

The second instalment of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! commenced on Monday (November 17) evening, showcasing Angry Ginge and Ruby Wax tackling the firstl eating challenge.

Following the duo’s triumphant acquisition of 10 stars, attention turned to the subsequent trial and which celebrity would be participating.

A single star will venture into the jungle doomsday vault, packed with serpents and other terrors in pursuit of securing meals for camp.

As per usual, Ant and Dec instructed viewers to navigate to the I’m A Celebrity app to cast their votes for whom they wished to witness undertaking the trial, reports the Express.

However, there seemed to be a technical fault as numerous viewers found themselves unable to vote.

Many were left raging, with one posting on X: “#ImACeleb @ITV come on guys sort it out. If the app is going to take you to the website to vote, make sure IT have prepared for the amount of traffic coming to the site!! No sooner did Ant and Dec say keep trying, it worked for a couple of votes and blew up again!!”

Another expressed their anger: ” #ImACeleb not impressed with the @imacelebrity app tried to vote & it’s not working.”

A third vented their frustration: “The #ImACeleb voting system this year has been c**p, this is the second time I haven’t been able to vote, I got the code to confirm my number 10 minutes late yesterday, and today I keep on getting a timeout on login? Is anyone else having this issue?”

Ant and Dec tackled the matter at the earliest chance, encouraging viewers to persist, clarifying that the difficulty stemmed from an excessive number of people casting votes simultaneously.

“We know a few of you out there are experiencing some problems with the app. But it’s because the vote is incredibly busy so please keep trying,” Dec said.

Ant added: “Keep trying!”.

Subsequently during the programme, Dec clarified tha t the application difficulties were presumably caused by the staggering volume of votes they had gathered.

“We have had well over a million votes tonight which is why you may have experienced a few problems on the app. Thanks for your votes, they are coming through,” he told viewers.

Prior to entering the camp to announce who would be undertaking the upcoming trial, Ant confirmed they had accumulated more than two million votes in total.

At the conclusion of the episode, Ant and Dec disclosed that Aitch will be facing tomorrow night’s trial.

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! is available to watch on ITVX.
