Police say injuries are “not believed to be life-threatening”
An incident that saw a minibus collide with a tree on Tirgracy Road, near Antrim, resulted in eight people being hospitalised. The crash took place around 12.30pm on Tuesday, November 11 and saw several emergency services respond to the scene, including eight ambulances.
According to the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service, five injured people were taken to Antrim Area Hospital by Ambulance, and three other casualties were transported to Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast by Ambulance.
A PSNI spokesman said: “A number of people have been taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.”

In a statement, a spokesman for the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service added: “The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service received a 999 call at 12.36pm on Tuesday, November 11, following reports of an RTC in the Tirgracy Road area, Antrim.
“NIAS has despatched multiple resources to the scene including eight Emergency Ambulances, one Advanced Paramedic, one Rapid Response Paramedic, one Emergency Planning Officer, three Ambulance Officers and pme Hazardous Area Response Team. NIAS also tasked the HEMS team by road, to the incident.“Following assessment and initial treatment at the scene, five people were taken to Antrim Area Hospital by Ambulance, and three people were taken to Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast by Ambulance.”
